The Logan-Brooks Family

I love family reunions! It's a great time to reconnect, reminisce and enjoy those family members that you haven't seen in a while. I had the opportunity to be a part of a family reunion of sorts and it was too much fun!

At the end of July I received an email from a wonderful lady named Julie, asking me to photograph her family, grandma, cousins and children. It would be a gathering that would include a cousin on leave from Iraq, many great-grandchildren and spouses of grandchildren. I was so excited to be a part of something like this because two of the cousins were sisters who had not seen each other in years! What a special moment to be a part of, so of course I agreed and we set up a date to get together.

We gathered at Knights Ferry for our early morning session on a Saturday in August and it was great! I was so impressed by the legacy this grandmother had created for her family, they were all so loving and fun with each other, it reminded me of my family and how much fun we all have when we're together.

Thank you Julie for being super woman and helping me coordinate a fantastic photo session! Here are a handful of my favorites :)

This is Savannah, adorable little redhead and daughter of Amber. We snapped a few pictures of her because she kept avoiding me, but she was so cute I couldn't help but photograph her!

The Lowe Family

I have the most fun photographing kids and their parents! I get to run around, play and have a blast documenting very intimate pieces of what family is all about: love, fun, joy and happiness.

In July I got together with Amanda, Donald and Samantha at UOP Stockton for a family session. This was my first time at UOP and it is a beautiful campus, it has that old classic college feeling, which I love! There are beautiful grassy knolls, brick buildings and endless possibilities for family photo sessions!

You may recognize Samantha from my fall blog posting; she is the little, adorable blond with the energetic and carefree personality and super cute smile! Samantha is going to be a big sister now and we can't wait to see the new bundle of joy when Amanda gives birth in November!

Amanda requested that I document the growing family and I feel so honored and privileged to so. We had a blast, as you will be able to see, most of the pictures are life as the Lowe's live it and I LOVE IT! It's so real, fun and pure and I am so excited to share some of my favorites with you!! Enjoy!

After our main pictures were done, we let Samantha have a blast winding down and running off her energy in the vanishing pool. It was the cutest thing to watch her play with daddy, mommy and my husband (who was off to the side as my sidekick).

At the end of our fun session, Samantha changed into some dryer clothes and took Andy (my sister & assistant) for a run through the grassy knoll, it was too sweet and cute not to capture! One of my all time favorites! (love her little tongue hanging out as she runs!!)

Bianca Senior Session

July is such a fantastic summer month, one of my favorites! Especially when it comes to going to the beach, California has the most spectacular beaches and of course amazing summer weather! One of my favorite places to be the "ultimate beach bum" is in Santa Cruz. The culture, food, the boardwalk and wharf, extremely low-key lifestyle and of course the beaches are why Santa Cruz has such a dear place in my heart.

I was so excited to photograph Bianca in Santa Cruz a few weeks back because it is also one of her favorite places to relax. I met Bianca the day of our shoot and she has such a wonderful personality, beautiful smile and awesome laugh! She is a friend of my youngest sister, Stephanie, and I had such a great time photographing her!

Some of my favorites from our awesome afternoon/early evening in Santa Cruz, enjoy!

Jassmena Senior Portraits

I met Jassmena a year or two ago through church, she was such a sweet and kind person and I just loved her spirit! She is a senior this year and looking forward to a fantastic year, I know her mom and family are so proud of her! We got together for her photo session one early, July morning, before the heat really hit, and had a great time.

Here are a handful of my favorites! Enjoy!

Cuellar Family

I love big families! This possibly stems from the fact that I come from a very large Mexican family :) It is always fun to get together with everyone, catch up over great food and reminisce about the "good ol' days."

In July I got together with my awesome friend Anita and her family for a family portrait session. You may recognize Anita and her adorable daughter, Annaliese, they were featured on my blog last fall. Annaliese, or "littles" as everyone calls her, is growing up so fast, and is so fun! We had a blast at our session, Anita and her sisters were so sweet and such beautiful ladies! Anita's mom and step-dad, Chuck were awesome to work with too, very kind and easy going.

Thank you Anita for this wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family, everyone was so fun! Enjoy!
