Leonard, father, grandfather, farmer and World War II Veteran

In August I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Leonard Roberts, a wonderful gentleman. His son, Kurt, whom I have known for what seems like ever, asked me if I would photograph his dad and capture pieces of the past that Leonard was a part of.

Leonard was in the medical field during World War II, working in Europe and tending to the wounded. He himself was wounded and earned a purple heart for his bravery and strength. I was so honored to be able to spend a few hours in Leonard's home, meet his wife, dog, cat and the spend time on farm. My favorite history topic has always been World War II, so to be able to spend time with an actual soldier was priceless, I thanked him over and over for his courage and service to our amazing country so many years ago.

Here are a few of my favorites, including a few with Kurt, he was a great sport! Enjoy!

Senior Portraits, featuring: Sofia

In August I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing Sofia on an early morning, at a lovely little coffee shop in the downtown Ripon area and began our session on Main St. We had a great time, Sofia is quite the fashionista, we loved all her outfits!!

She was so fun to work with on her session, not only does she love fashion, Santa Cruz and the beach, but she loves wrestling!! She is on her high school wrestling team, which I thought was awesome! We had too much fun and my favorites are her in the field with her tie-dye throw, she is a hippie at heart and I loved that!

Enjoy!

Emily & Sarah

I photographed Emily and Sarah in August at their home out in the countryside of where I grew up. It was so wonderful to get out of town for a bit and reconnect with them, since we went to elementary school together. I was a few years ahead of them, but Emily was in the grade as my younger brother and Sarah was a couple of years younger than me. Their mom was also my 4th/5th grade teacher and I was able to spend a bit of time with her catching up which was really nice.

I love the bond of sisterhood, it is so special and dear to my heart because I have two sisters and we are the best of friends! It is truly a whole different level of friendship and love and we have a lot of fun when we're together!

Emily contacted me earlier in the summer to schedule her session and due to her being in Texas for college we had to get together towards the end of summer because she was coming to California to visit the family for a few weeks.

We had a great time and they were so fun to work with and so beautiful! Here are a handful of my favorites, enjoy!
