In August I met up with cousin/best friend Cristina and her now husband, Jorge, in San Francisco to do what we termed the "Just Married" session. Jorge and Cristina met in LA while she was going to college and hit it off from the very beginning. They had a whirlwind romance and quickly became a family with the addition of baby Nathan, who is so cute and fun to watch grow :)
Cristina first talked about marriage earlier in the spring and wanted to plan a small family wedding and then realized what she wanted was to just get married and not have to worry about the details. On a Monday afternoon in July I got a phone call from her and she announced she and Jorge were headed to the local court house to get married. I was excited and wished them the best, telling her to call me as soon as they were done so we could celebrate via telephone.
Since they did not have a wedding, we planned this session just for the two of them to capture their new union and of course to have fun in our favorite city! It was a very time special for all of us because San Francisco holds a very special place in our hearts. The last time Cristina was in the city it was with me, three years ago, we were spending one last day together doing our favorite things before she moved to LA to finish her schooling. When we were roommates we would take spontaneous trips from our home in Sacramento to San Francisco for dinner, to relax on the beach or go shopping, it was too much fun!
This day we spent in the city photographing, reminiscing at some of our favorite spots and enjoying the awesome weather! To Jorge and Cristina, I wish you a lifetime of blessings, happiness, family and love! Love you both and congratulations!!
